Wade Baskin, PT, DPT, RRT
(Doctor of Physical Therapy)

Wade Baskin, PT, DPT, RRT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and has been practicing Physical Therapy since graduation, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1991. Prior to that he was licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and he has been involved in direct patient care since 1986. Having been awarded the Mississippi Physical Therapy Association's Distinguished Service Award in 1991, he has since been involved in Association Leadership both at the state and national levels. Moreover, he is a former World Champion in martial arts and understands what it takes to excel at the highest levels in both practice and sport.

At this time he is involved with practice leadership, development, and expansion of new programs. He served as an elected officer in the American Physical Therapy Association's (APTA) Private Practice Section from 1999-2009, and he currently serves as an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor for the University of Mississippi Medical Center's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. He has been in private practice since 1993 when he established GT Physical Therapy (then known as Golden Triangle Rehabilitation). Having worked in hospital-run settings as a therapist and director, Wade quickly decided that private practice was the best way to deliver premium physical therapy to patients without overriding bureaucratic concerns. Wade found that patients experienced quicker results (got better faster) and incurred much less overall cost. Since then, he has been an ardent proponent of Physical Therapist owned operations as the best way to deliver PT to the public.

Having been published in both text books and professional periodicals, Wade continues to be actively involved in traveling, learning, and developing new and innovative strategies to improve patient outcomes in the out-patient setting. Utilizing cutting edge technology, hands-on techniques and the latest evidence, GT Physical Therapy has achieved an excellent reputation as a results-based practice where physicians and patients know that they are accessing the best physical therapy available.
